How to Approve Grow Light Packaging Artwork Before Shipment

A packaging-artwork approval checklist for OEM grow-light buyers covering model identity, electrical rows, carton labels, certification marks, and evidence ownership.

Grow light packaging artwork should be approved as a controlled technical file, not only as a branding layout. Before shipment, the buyer should confirm that the box, nameplate preview, manual cover, SKU label, and outer carton all describe the same fixture configuration and point to the same evidence owner.

1. Lock the model identity before design approval

Artwork should use the exact approved product row. Current Sanity data lists the LED TB600 greenhouse toplight as a 600 W LED fixture with 2100 micromoles per second PPF and 3.5 micromoles per joule efficacy. It lists the LED JT720F as a 720 W LED fixture with 1950 micromoles per second PPF and 2.7 micromoles per joule efficacy. Do not let a shared family name, old sample box, or distributor SKU replace the model-specific row.

2. Reconcile the electrical and control fields

The packaging table should match the approved specification row, especially when the order mixes greenhouse toplights and indoor fixtures. Current Sanity specifications list the TB600 with AC 200-480 V input voltage, 600 W +/-5 percent power consumption, 0-10 V dimming, 7.0 kg weight, and five-year standard warranty. The JT720F row lists AC 220-240 V input voltage, knob and 0-10 V dimming, 6.6 kg weight, and one-year standard warranty. If the artwork says universal voltage, a different warranty term, or a different dimming method, require a revised product record or approved buyer document before release.

3. Treat custom artwork as a specification change

Logo and color are listed as customizable fields for both TB600 and JT720F. TB600 also lists spectrum, power, size, cable length, dimming, and mounting as customizable fields, while JT720F lists spectrum, logo, and color. Keep these rows separate from confirmed production values. A box mockup may show a buyer brand, but it should not imply an unapproved spectrum, cable length, mounting kit, market plug, warranty, or certificate scope.

4. Hold certification marks until evidence is assigned

Sanity currently lists DLC, CE, and RoHS for TB600, and FCC, CE, and RoHS for JT720F. Use those as internal product fields only. The European Commission explains that CE marking is a manufacturer's declaration for products within scope, not an approval by the EU. Your Europe also lists product label and user instructions as part of technical documentation. For U.S. FCC-controlled products, 47 CFR Part 2 includes equipment-identification and label-placement requirements. The practical approval rule is simple: every compliance mark on artwork needs a named certificate, declaration, test report, or regulatory file owner for the exact model and configuration.

5. Approve the outer carton as its own row

Before an OEM or ODM grow light shipment discussion, create a separate approval row for carton quantity, gross weight, net weight, model name, SKU, barcode, destination market, handling marks, accessory count, and revision date. Do not let the color box approval substitute for the shipping mark approval. A useful release gate names the artwork file, carton label file, packing list, sample photo, and person responsible for each final sign-off.

Source note: Product-specific statements were checked against current Sanity records for LED TB600 and LED JT720F on 2026-08-26. Compliance-process context was checked against European Commission CE marking guidance, Your Europe technical-documentation guidance, and 47 CFR Part 2 Subpart J.
